Sheila has taken a non-traditional route into accountancy, originally training as a pharmacist. Sheila commenced her accounting training in a small practice on the Isle of Man before moving to work for one of the large accountancy practices. There, Sheila progressed to working for the Isle of Man Government, where she held senior positions before returning to Scotland in the early 2020s. Sheila joined Mackay & Co when we merged with Andrew Mead’s accounting practice in 2023.
Sheila has a broad depth of experience in finance from her time working in accounting practice as well as in government. She particularly enjoys working with new businesses to help them start off on the right footing.
Sheila also volunteers on several charity boards. When she is not working or volunteering, she enjoys walking her three dogs and travelling.
